Every tabletop designer starts somewhere. Before you commission artwork or order professional prints, you need to test mechanics, balance costs, and see how cards feel in your hand. TacticDeck Builder skips the expensive software and gives you a clean, fast way to prototype card ideas. Type in a name, pick a type, write what it does, and you have a card. Add a dozen more, print them on cardstock, and run a playtest tonight.
The builder handles layout, cut guides, and deck organization. You focus on the fun part: designing abilities that surprise your friends, building a teaching deck for your classroom, or mocking up the next hit Kickstarter game. No sign-up, no cloud storage, no fees. Everything stays on your computer.

Print on 110 lb cardstock for stiffness that feels close to real playing cards. Use a paper cutter or metal ruler and craft knife for clean edges. If you have card sleeves, print on regular paper and slide each cut-out in front of a real playing card. The sleeve hides the paper edge and gives a professional shuffle feel.
The print layout puts nine cards per sheet with light gray cut lines. Set your printer to "Actual Size" or 100% scale. Do not use "Fit to Page" because it shrinks the cards slightly and misaligns the cut guides. For double-sided cards, print two copies, align them carefully back-to-back, and secure with a tiny bit of glue stick before sleeving.
Yes. Use the Save Deck button to store your current deck with a name. Click Load Deck to see all your saved decks and switch between them. Decks stay in your browser's local storage.
Saved decks will be lost unless you export them first. Use the Share button to copy a URL you can bookmark, or print your deck as a PDF for backup.
Absolutely. Change the card type to "Token" and use the rules text for the question and flavor text for the answer. Print and cut for a custom study deck.
The builder handles decks up to 200 cards comfortably. Larger decks may slow down the share URL generation. For tournament-size decks (60–100 cards), performance is snappy.
